Planning (BPlanning)

This degree is about planning tomorrow's cities and regions. The degree covers strategic planning which helps determine the best use of land, and statutory planning which sets the requirements and acceptability of particular development proposals. Murdoch's Planning degree emphasises sustainability: integration of economic, environmental and social factors for long term benefit. It also has a strong emphasis on local community engagement and participation skills, and offers the skills and approaches that are highly prized by planning agencies and firms.

Employment Prospects:Within Australia there is a shortage of planners at local and state government level, and within the private sector. Exciting employment prospects are also available internationally.
