Welcome
to the School of Sustainability
Sustainable Development is the policy agenda of our time and demands
solutions which integrate economic, environmental and social objectives.
Over the past several years, a lot of changes have occurred locally and globally.
The Western Australian government is currently committed to the State's Sustainability
Strategy, first released in September 2003. The activities which surrounded
the the 2002 World Summit on sustainable Development in Johannesburg lead to
the creation of the global Regional Government Network for sustainable Development
which is active in many critical issues, such as resource use, population growth,
poverty alleviation, technology development, ecological awareness, environmental
protection, economic growth, inequality and trade. Individuals, businesses and
governments are searching for ways for integrating the society, economy and
the environment and of building connections between theory and practice of sustainability.
Courses offered by the School of Sustainability will give you valuable professional
and life skills, enabling you to join together your knowledge and passion about
today's world.
Studying at the School of Sustainability is about joining a group of enthusiastic
and committed people who work together to make a difference.
